Mobile app for tele-rehabilitation aftercare

enlivio: Tele-rehabilitation aftercare platform

From the clinic to home: enlivio is a tele-rehabilitation aftercare platform with a focus on compliance and quality. elivio enables guided exercise plans, appointment coordination, reminders, and secure communication with patients. This allows for efficient therapy support, increased adherence to therapy, and reliable fulfillment of regulatory requirements.

Solution

We developed an integrated platform with a mobile app for patients, a web-based dashboard for therapists, and a scalable and privacy-compliant backend.

In addition, we implemented the necessary quality, safety and validation processes to meet the requirements for a medical device and to enable professional use in rehabilitation centers.

The problem

Rehabilitation centers face the challenge of providing structured, safe, and verifiable support for aftercare and home exercises. Existing isolated solutions offer neither comprehensive documentation nor standardized communication channels between patients and therapists.

In addition, regulatory requirements must be met in order for the solution to be used as a medical device.

The goal was a solution that increases therapy adherence, standardizes processes, and takes legal and regulatory requirements into account.

Special challenges

Together with the client, we developed an end-to-end platform for digital therapy and aftercare. The mobile app supports patients with individualized exercise plans, appointments, reminders, and a secure communication channel with their therapists.

A web-based dashboard allows for the planning of therapies, the management of templates, the documentation of progress, and the efficient monitoring of treatments.

The scalable backend provides role-based access, encrypted data processing, audit logging, and interfaces for secure data exchange.

In addition, we established comprehensive quality and validation processes so that the platform meets the regulatory requirements of a medical device and can be successfully used in rehabilitation centers.

Conclusion

The solution enables rehabilitation facilities to offer structured telephysiotherapy, increases therapy adherence, and creates transparent processes. By implementing it as a medical device, the customer can operate and further develop the platform on a regulatory basis and position it for additional applications in the healthcare sector.

The result: better supply, more efficient processes and a scalable basis for further growth.
