Successful data migration
Aids Hilfe: IT Migration & Seamless Software Modernization
Aids Hilfe Wien is one of the best-known resources for sexual health. In addition to the ongoing maintenance of an application, we were able to support them with the necessary data migration during the replacement of their existing software.
Task
AIDS Hilfe Wien needed a reliable partner for the maintenance and operation of one of its administrative applications.
Furthermore, due to regulatory requirements, Aids Hilfe Wien was faced with the replacement of its existing software with a modern successor system, which entailed a risk of data loss and operational interruptions.

The problem
The challenge was to professionally hand over the existing software while migrating the data, taking cybersecurity challenges into account.
In parallel, the operational readiness of the existing system must be ensured, both before the migration and after the migration during the transition phase.
The solution
In close consultation with all parties involved, a complete inventory was first compiled, and the software was then gradually migrated to the new hosting infrastructure. During the transition phase, we ensured continuous maintenance and operation to guarantee stable service without downtime.
For the replacement with the new system, we helped coordinate the various involved (IT) service providers and provided the existing data while taking data protection precautions into account.
Conclusion
Through coordination and agreements, it was ensured that all involved partners had all the necessary information for the data migration.
We managed the operation of the existing software before the switchover and also during the transition phase.
